Water cutting and plasma cutting

We have a combination machine with which one set can cut water (abrasive cutting) and plasma cutting. Thanks to the same crankshaft and plasma torch attached to the machine, cost efficiency can be significantly improved. Often, water cutting achieves sufficient precision for the end product. If the cutting surface is to be machined, it is easier to work on the unscreened surface. Other cuts in the piece can be made by plasma cutting if desired. This provides a cost-effective, good end product.

Watercutting

We have a combination machine that can be used with one set to cut water / abrasive cuttingand plasma cutting.

In water cutting, the water is fed through a sapphire nozzle ø 0.1-0.4mm through a pressure of 3800bar. This provides a narrow water jet with over twice the sound speed. Water can be used to cut soft materials such as plastics, rubber, plywood, paper, etc. By mixing abrasive sand in water, harder materials such as metals, stone etc. can be cut.

With water / abrasive cutting it is possible to cut almost any material.

Benefits of watercutting:

  • Small material waste
  • Good surface quality
  • Material color and surface will not be damaged during surgery
  • No thermal stress
  • No cut breams
  • No surface scaling
  • Dust-free

Material strengths (max.)

  • Steels S = 100-150m
  • Rock, glass S = 100-150mm
  • Porous materials S = 250mm

The material strength varies by material and surface area requirements. The above values ??are suitable for reasonable shear rates and good surface finish. At the expense of surface quality, higher thicknesses (metals 150mm) are achieved.

The combination machine makes it possible to significantly improve cost efficiency. Often the water / abrasive cuttings provide sufficient precision for the end product. If the cutting surface is to be machined, it is easier to work on the unscreened surface. Other cuts in the piece can be made by plasma cutting if desired. This provides a cost-effective, good end product.

Plasmacutting

We have a combination machine that can be cut by plasma cutting with one set and with water / abrasive cut

Features of 300A fine-grained plasma at our disposal:

  • Cutting strength piercing max.35 mm, edge start up to 60 mm.
  • Cutting area 2000mm x 6000mm
  • High cutting accuracy
  • High cutting rate, low thermal effect on the pieces
  • For Stainless Steel cutting, the “Water Mist Secondary” water jet system, which delivers cutting edge traction.
